To increase the input speed, you can use a drawing grid. When the grid is active, the cursor automatically snaps to points on the grid.
To configure the grid:
- Click on the button
, double click in the drawing area of Diamonds or go to the menu “View – Grid settings…”. This dialogue appears:

- The grid can be turned on or off.
If you turn it on, Diamonds will snap to the grid while drawing. - The grid can be set visible or invisible.
- Enter the spacing of the grid in each direction.
Do not set the spacing too small (= <5cm) because it often leads to models that are too detailed.
Even thought a coarse gridstep is chosen, you can edit the length of each line by double clicking it. To change the lengthe of multiple lines at the same time, you can use the translation function.
