Exporting a library

Important notes:

This article explains how to export the section library. The workflow is similar for the material library.

To export the section library:

  • Open Diamonds.
  • Go to the menu Edit > Section library.
  • On the left side there’s a menu called ‘User defined‘. Select the option ‘Yes‘.
This step is SO IMPORTANT! Default sections (= ) will always be present. If you export them, the import process will go much slower. By selecting the option ‘Yes‘, you prevent the default sections from being exported.
  • Click on .
  • Give the file a name, choose the location and click ‘Save’.
  • Save the library in a save location.
The libary can now be imported on other computers. If your section library used user-defined materials, don’t forget to make an export of the material library as well.
