Diamonds comes with a cross-section library including normalized steel cross-sections.
To assign or change the cross-section of (a selection of) bar(s):
- Select the relevant elements.
- Click on
.
The following dialogue appears:
- On the left side, you can use a temporarily filter to find the desired cross-section faster.
“Temporarily” because the filter will reset itself once you close this dialog. - Select the desired cross-section from the list.
The right side of the dialog shows the dimensions of the cross-section together with a scaled visual representation.
If you have the impression not all cross-section are present in this list, you might (unintentionally) have defined a permanent filter in the Section library. You can reset that filter in the Section library. - Hit “OK”.
Although this library comes only comes with normalized steel cross-sections by default, you can add your own cross-sections (more info).
