In Diamonds you can assign a footing to a node by:
- Activating the button
. - And click on the desired location of the footing in the model.
When defining a footing, Diamonds will generate an isotropic slab having a default width and length. This way you don’t have to draw the contour of each footing.
As footings are a type of foundation, you’ll need to add some sort of support below it.
