“Supports” decribe the relation of the structure with the outside world. “How is the structure connected to this planet? And which internal forces can be transfered from the structure to this planet?”.
“Supports” are not the same as “joints”. “Joints” describe the force transfer between the element in the structure. More info here.
To assign supports:
- Select the relevant elements.
