To generate snow loads on a frame:
- Enter the terrain parameters
. - Select the frame and click on
.
The selected bars must lie in the same plane.
The following dialogue appears:
- Diamonds automatically searches for the contour of the selected frame, which is shown in black. Based on this contour, Diamonds calculates the snow load on all horizontal and oblique bars.
- Width support by structural frame
Define the width (perpendicularly to the plane of the frame) that will be beared by the frame.
For a central frame, it is the average distance between two frames.
For an edge frame, it is the distance to the frame before/ after divided by two. - Snow load cases
Eurocode (and other standards) force you to consider different configurations of the snow load depending on the roof shape. Here you select which cases you want to generate.- For a duo pitched roof, you select the uneven cases.
- For a flat or mono pitched roof, you select only the first case.
- For a combination of different roof shapes, you select all of them.
