To improve readability and ease of use, 1•2•Build has zoom in and zoom out functions. These are represented by the icons
and
in the toolbar. To zoom in, first click on the icon
(the icon remains pressed), and then drag a selection frame in the desired window. The part of the drawing that falls within the selection frame is now displayed as large as possible in the window being viewed. To reduce the size of the drawing, click on the icon
. The drawing is reduced by a factor of 2.
Another interesting function is the one for shifting the image, also known as the pan function. This allows you to move the entire drawing within the window using the mouse. Activate the pan function by clicking on the icon
. When you press and hold the left mouse button in the desired window and move the mouse over the window, the drawing in the window will move with the mouse.
To display the drawing in the active window as large as possible while still keeping all visible parts within the window, click on the button
.
All these functions can also be accessed from the “Screen” menu by selecting one of the first four commands in this menu. You can also use the following shortcut keys:
- F10: Zoom in
- F11: Zoom out
- F12: Show all
Finally, there is an even faster, more direct way to zoom in and out. When you hold down the right mouse button in the window and move the mouse upwards, 1•2•Build zooms in on the drawing (the drawing is enlarged); if you move the mouse downwards while holding down the right mouse button, 1•2•Build zooms out on the drawing (the drawing is reduced). Zooming in is done by moving along the line whose projection corresponds to the position of the cursor.
