The computer does not start when a CodeMeter dongle is plugged in.

Solution

The computer recognizes the CodeMeter key as an USB storage drive and tries to boot from that.

  1. Go to the computer’s BIOS
  2. Set the boot order of the USB drive after the main HDD

OR

Disconnect the key when restarting the computer
