When Diamonds crashes on creating the load combinations, it probably means that you have to many load cases. For every load case, the favourable and unfavourable effect must be considerd, as well as the interaction with the other loads.
Suppose that you have 17 different live loads, then Diamonds needs to make
217 = 131072 load combinations.
Tips:
- Limit the number of live loads
- If there are loads that will not act together on the structure, you should define them as imcompatible loads
- If there are loads that will always act together AND have always have the same favourable or unfavourable effect (for example dead loads and selfweight), you should link these loads. The number of load combinations will halve with each two linked loads.
