Error: The operation could not be completed. The dependency service or group failed to start.

On starting the service ‘Gateway’ and ‘Gateway Server’ you get the error:

The operation could not be completed. The dependency service or group failed to start.

[NL]: Kan bewerking niet voltooien. Afhankelijkheidsservice of -groep kan niet worden gestart.

[FR]: Impossible de terminer cette opération. Le service ou le groupe de dépendance n’a pas pu démarrer.

[ES]: No se pudo completar la operación. No se puede iniciar el servicio o grupo de dependencia.

Solution

• Start > All Programs > find CodeMeter in the list
• Right mouse click on CodeMeter > choose ‘Run as administrator’.
• Try to start the services Gateway and GatewayServer again.
