Error message on creating a new connection in PowerConnect.
Solution
[Windows 11]Your computer probably contains more than one graphical card. You can check the amount of graphical card using the Device Manager (NL: Apparaatbeheer) of Windows. Asign the internal graphical card to PowerConnect by following these steps:
-
- Click with the right mouse button on the desktop and open the NVIDIA control panel.
- Go to Manage 3D setttings > tab page Program settings.
- Click on the button Add.
Browse to the folder C:\Program Files\BuildSoft\PowerConnec 202x.
Select the PowerConnect.exe and hit Open.
- Set the graphical processor to the “internal graphical card” and hit ‘Apply’.
- Start PowerConnect and check if the problem is solved.
- If it is not solved, repeat the steps but select the NVIDIA card instead.
- Click with the right mouse button on the desktop and open the NVIDIA control panel.
-
- Close PowerConnect
- Right click with mouse on desktop and click ‘Properties’
- Go to page ‘Settings’ → ‘Advanced’
- Go to page ‘Troubleshoot’
- Move hardware acceleration to the left: about 50% or less
- Try PowerConnect again. If it still does not work, repeat 1-2-3 and move hardware acceleration more to the left. The optimal value depends on your graphic card.
