When starting Diamonds/PowerConnect or BIM Expert, you get the error:

[NL]: Kan applicatie niet correct starten (0xc0000005). Klik op OK om de toepassing te sluiten.

[FR]: L’application n’a pas réussi à demarrer correctement (0xc0000005). Cliquez sur OK pour fermer l’application.

Solution

This error is caused by Avast Anti-virus who blocks the start of our software.

  • As a test, you could de-activate Avast for 10 minutes and try to start or software.
  • As a permanent soluiton, you should add an exception for our software in Avast Anti-virus.
