The problem discussed in this article goes as follows:
- You created a structure.
- You created a report.
- Then you added some elements to the structure.
- You make another print preview of the report, but the elements you added are not visible…
What you see in your print preview | What you want to see in your print preview |
Reason: in Diamonds you can create a report showing the entire structure. But you can also create a report which only shows a selection of elements. If you add elements to the structure after the report was created, Diamonds doesn’t know if those new elements should be included in the report(s) or not. So by default, he doesn’t include them. But you can add them (see workflow below).
Solution
- Open the Report manager .
- Select the relevant report and click .
- Go to the tab page General and click on the button Modify selection and view.
You’ll return to the Diamonds workspace. Every button in the workspace remains clickable. - Click on the button in the toolbar to show the entire structure.
- Click on the button Click here to return to print report configuration.
- Click OK to close the report configuration.
- Make a new print preview. All elements should be visible now.
