Floating point division by zero

On performing a modal analysis (eigenfrequencies, eigenvalues) in PowerFrame, following error appears: Floating point  division by zero

Solution

Mostlikely the correlation factor φ, for taking into account modal masses, is at 0 for all load groups:

1. Go the Loads window
2. In the palette, click on .
3. Fill out the φ factor
   • 1 –  selfweight and dead loads
   • 0 –  short period loads such as wind or snow
   • 0.3 – the quasi-permanent effect of live loads
