When you try to open a model, save a model, import a model, calculate or close Diamonds, Diamonds seems to block. He is disabled and it is impossible to close him. You see something similar to this. This issue occurs suddenly: yesterday it worked fine, today it doesn’t.
Solution
This issue is caused by anti-virus programs Avast and AVG who think Diamonds is a threat.
You could try to add exclusion for the ffollowing *.exe’s In Avast/ AVG. Unfortunately we don’t have confirmation this solves the issue. As far was we know, clients always had to uninstall Avast/ AVG to get it fixed.
- C:\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\Diamonds*versions your using*\Diamonds.exe
- C:\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\Diamonds*versions your using*\DiamondsCalculations (this is the calculation core of Diamonds)
- C:\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\Gateway\Gateway\BuildSoft.Gateway.exe (this tool ensures the communication between Diamonds and the material/section libraries)
- C:\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\Gateway\Gateway\GatewayServer\BuildSoft.Gateway.Server.exe (this tool ensures the communication between Diamonds and the material/section libraries)
- C:\Program Files\CodeMeter\Runtime\bin\CmWebAdmin.exe (this tool ensures the communication between Diamonds and license)
