Error: There are bars for which the code check did not succeed. 0,8 not in range of function f_yFunction

When running the steel verfication, you get the following error. The 0,8 can be any number larger than 0,15.

Solution

The yielding strength that may be used during the steel verification depends on the dimensions of the cross-section. But the reduction of the yielding strength can only be done if the dimensions stay under a certain limit (150mm for Belgian annex to EN 1993-1-1).

You can view the limits in the material library (menu Edit > Material library). Select a steel quality and go to the tab page ‘Advanced’.
