Error: Cannot start Gateway-service on Local computer. Error 193: 0xc1

During the start-up of Diamonds/PowerConnect, you get the error:

[NL]: Kan de Gateway-service op Lokale computer niet starten. Fout 193:0xc1

Solution

Uninstall Gateway using the Windows Control Panel
Reinstall Gateway. You can download the installers here:
- Gateway 32 bit
- Gateway 64 bit
During the setup of Gateway you’ll be asked to select an SQL instance. Select an existing database, for example ‘(local)\SQLExpress14’ or ‘(local)\SQLExpress14BS’.
