About the Preferences
‘Preferences’ are settings that are user dependant, for example:
- Units and decimals
- The language
- Colors
- …
At the first startup of 12-Build, 12-Build takes the default values (stored in the Program Files). When you work with 12-Build, you will customize these settings along the way.
Workflow to reset the preferences
- Close all 1·2·Build projects.
- Go to C:\Users\**YourUsername**\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\1 2 Build.
The folder “AppData” is a hidden folder. IYou can show the hidden folders using the menu “View > View > Show hidden items”.
If you see the folder “AppData” now, skip step 3 and go to step 4.
If you still don’t see the folder “AppData” now, go to step 3.
- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\12Build
Sort the content of this folder by date.
The preferences are stored in the same folder as the installation files. You can detect the preference files by sorting the folder by date. The preferences always have a more recent date. While the installation files have older dates. This 1·2·Build is from 2021. Anything more recent than 2021 is a preference file, thus all files above the line are preference files.
Select all preference files and delete them. Then, skip step 4 and go to step 5.
- Delete the content of this folder.
- Restart 12-Build.
If do did the procedure correctly, 12-Build will ask you the language.
