Analysis & Dimensioning

To determine the most optimal cross-section, 1•2•Build must perform various calculations:

  1. The first consists of an elastic analysis that determines the deformations, internal forces, stresses and reactions.
  2. Next, the buckling lengths must be calculated.
  3. In the final step, dimensioning is carried out. For steel and timber, this means that various strength and stability criteria are tested. 1•2•Build iteratively determines the most optimal section. For concrete, reinforcement must be determined. The maximum permissible deflection can also be taken into account here.
