Always curved option does not draw curved anchorages

Despite the fact you have chosen the ‘always curved’ or ‘only straight till axis’ option for longitudinal reinforcement, ConCrete Plus does not draw curved anchorages.

Anchorage options in ConCrete Plus

Upper longitudinal reinforcement is straight instead of curved

This is because ConCrete Plus calculates two anchorage lengths:

  1. anchorage length required for a straight anchorage
  2. horizontal part of the anchorage length required for a curved anchorage

As long as the first one is smaller or equal as the second one, ConCrete Plus will choose for a straight anchorage. This is because the curved anchorage implies more steel (horizontal part + corner + vertical part).  Evidently you can always as a hook manually by clicking on annotation of the longitudinal reinforcement.
