Each time you hit calculate <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"img_inline alignnone size-full wp-image-7895\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/KnopElastischeAnalyse.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" \/>\u00a0or close Diamonds, Diamonds will verify (via WMI) if there are any other instances of Diamonds or the calculation core ( = BuildsoftServer.exe in Task Manager) open. Our best guess is a Windows update.<\/p>\n<h2>Solution 1<\/h2>\n<p>Check if there are any new Windows updates and execute them.<\/p>\n<h2>Solution 2<\/h2>\n<p>Try to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/knowledge-base\/how-do-a-system-restore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">do a system restore.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Solution 3 (semi solution)<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <em>Task Manager<\/em> and go to the tab page <em>Details<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>End ALL\u00a0<\/strong><em>Diamonds.exe<\/em> and <em>BuildsoftServer.exe <\/em>&#8211; instances (if they appear in the list).<\/li>\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>My Documents &gt; Diamonds &gt; {version you&#8217;re using}<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Open the file\u00a0<strong>Diamonds.ini<\/strong>\u00a0with Notepad.<\/li>\n<li>Search (<kbd>CTRL<\/kbd>\u00a0+ <kbd>F<\/kbd>) for<code>[TGENERALPREFERENCES_PREF]<\/code>.<br \/>\nIf you cannot find it, go to the end of the document\u00a0(<kbd>CTRL<\/kbd>\u00a0+\u00a0<kbd>END<\/kbd>) and paste\u00a0<code>[TGENERALPREFERENCES_PREF]<\/code> in it.<\/li>\n<li>Below <code>[TGENERALPREFERENCES_PREF]<\/code> paste\u00a0<code>RESTARTCALCCORE=0<\/code>.<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8404\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/ErrorInvalidClass2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"381\" height=\"117\" srcset=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/ErrorInvalidClass2.png 381w, https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/ErrorInvalidClass2-300x92.png 300w, https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/ErrorInvalidClass2-50x15.png 50w, https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/ErrorInvalidClass2-60x18.png 60w, https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/ErrorInvalidClass2-35x11.png 35w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 381px) 100vw, 381px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Close <strong>Diamonds.ini<\/strong> and save the changes.<\/li>\n<li>Restart Diamonds and try to calculate.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure to save your model before you try to close Diamonds. When you try to close Diamonds, you&#8217;ll still get an error and you&#8217;ll probably need the Task Manager to close Diamonds. Make sure to close the calculation core (BuildsoftServer.exe) as well (see step 1 &amp; 2)!
