You could made 4 load groups&nbsp;<em>Wind<\/em>&nbsp;which you define as <a href=\"https:\/\/buildsoftsupport.com\/knowledge-base\/how-to-define-incompatible-load-groups\/\">incompatible<\/a>.<em>&nbsp;<\/em>One for each direction. But&nbsp;you could also define one load group <em>Wind<\/em> and organise the 4 directions using sub load cases. Diamonds will add <em>Case 1, Case 2, Case 3<\/em> and <em>Case 4<\/em> automatically to the list. When you click on the icon the little guys can hold hands or not.\n<ul>\n<li>if they are not holding hands<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"img_inline alignnone size-large wp-image-5084\" src=\"http:\/\/buildsoftsupport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IcoonHandjesUitElkaar.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"29\" height=\"24\">, it means the sub load cases are incompatible. Meaning they cannot occur at the same time. This is particularly the case for wind\/ snow loads.<\/li>\n<li>if they are holding hands <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"img_inline alignnone size-full wp-image-5083\" src=\"http:\/\/buildsoftsupport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IcoonHandjesInElkaar.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"24\" height=\"23\">, it means all sub load cases will act on the structure at the same time. This&nbsp;gives you a clear overview of the origin of each dead load. But the disadvantage is that each sub&nbsp;load&nbsp;case takes up memory leading to a longer calculation time. In view of the calculation time, we do not recommend using sub&nbsp;load&nbsp;cases for dead loads in medium to large models.<br \/>\nLet&rsquo;s say a medium model, is a model with more than two floor levels.    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n    \t\t<\/div><!-- \/.ht-shortcodes-messages -->\r\n    \t\t\n<h2>How to remove sub load cases<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A load group containing sub load cases can be converted to regular incompatible load groups using the button <em>Ungroup loadcases<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>To remove the load group completely from the list, select the load group and hit <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"img_inline alignnone size-full wp-image-6912\" src=\"https:\/\/buildsoftsupport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/KnopVerwijder.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\">.<\/li>\n<li>To remove the sub load cases, but not the load group: set the number of sub load cases (= a.k.a. the number in the column #) to 1<\/li>\n<li>To remove the 3 columns <em>#<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Type<\/em>&nbsp;and<em>&nbsp;Name Load case:<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure the column # contains the number 1<strong>&nbsp;for all load<\/strong>&nbsp;groups.<\/li>\n<li>Uncheck the option&nbsp;<em>Several load cases per group<\/em>. The 3 columns&nbsp;<em>#<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Type<\/em>&nbsp;and<em>&nbsp;Name Load case<\/em>&nbsp;will disappear.&nbsp;<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Several sub load cases per load group are a way to organize variations of a certain load group.
