On executing elastic analyis, following error message appears:<\/p>\n

Solution<\/h2>\n

The computer has 2 processors<\/strong>.\"\"<\/p>\n \t\t

\r\n \t\t\tHow to check if you have 2 processors?<\/span> \t\t\t \t\t\t\t

\r\n \t\t\t\t\tGo to Start > Control panel > System.<\/strong> Look under the heading to where it says \u00ab\u00a0Processor.\u00a0\u00bb Next to processor, you will see the name of the processor you have. If it says \u00ab\u00a0dual processor,\u00a0\u00bb this means you have two processors. If it says \u00ab\u00a0dual core,\u00a0\u00bb this means you have a dual-core processor (= 1 processor). \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n

The Diamonds calculation core (more specific the algorithms to solve the matrices) requires assigning of only 1 of the processors.<\/p>\n

  • InstallDiamonds 2015 r04 or newer<\/li>\n
  • Launch Diamonds and close again<\/li>\n
  • Go to My Documents > Diamonds > {latest version} <\/i><\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Open the file Diamonds.ini<\/strong> with Notepad<\/li>\n
  • Look for [TMainForm_PREF] <\/strong>(You can use the keyboard shortcut CTRL<\/kbd> + F<\/kbd> to start the find function)<\/li>\n
  • Add a line with CPU=65535<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Save the file<\/li>\n
  • Start Diamonds again<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Remark<\/h3>\n

    If you activate this option without having 2 processors, you might get following error at start up of Diamonds:<\/p>\n
