The mesh nodes are represented by black points (= not fixes points).<\/li>\n<li>Black points (= non- fixed points) can be turned into red points (= fixed points), by clicking them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Below the total deflection, you see the linear and relative deformation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>linear<\/strong> deformation is the chord that connects the deformations at the red fixed points.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>relative<\/strong> deformation equals\u00a0the total deformation minus the linear deformation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Since the span (= the length between the red points) is known to Diamonds, the relative deformation is indicated as <em>L\/xxx<\/em> below it.<\/p>\n<p>Remarks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For beams, \u03b4<sub>Y<\/sub>\u00a0deflections in the global results window correspond with local \u03b4<sub>y&#8217;<\/sub>\u00a0results in the detailed window.<br \/>\nFor cut lines, \u03b4<sub>Y<\/sub>\u00a0deflections in the global results window correspond with global \u03b4<sub>Y<\/sub>\u00a0results in the detailed window.<\/li>\n<li>In case of deflections according to the local y&#8217;-axis\u00a0\u03b4<sub>y&#8217;<\/sub>, Diamonds will split them accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>Checking the box <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"img_inline alignnone size-medium wp-image-5379\" src=\"http:\/\/buildsoftsupport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/CheckBoxHoekverdraaiingen.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"34\" height=\"20\" \/> will display the angular rotations (only for beams).<\/li>\n<li>A print or print preview can be made with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/buildsoftsupport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/KnopAfdrukken.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"img_inline alignnone size-full wp-image-5346\" src=\"http:\/\/buildsoftsupport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/KnopAfdrukken.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"23\" height=\"23\" \/><\/a> and\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"img_inline alignnone size-full wp-image-5381\" src=\"http:\/\/buildsoftsupport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/KnopAfdrukvoorbeeld.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"21\" height=\"21\" \/>. \u00a0The relative deflections <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">cannot<\/span> be included in the general reporting <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"img_inline alignnone size-full wp-image-6850\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/KnopRapportBeheer.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" \/>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[in Diamonds 2020 or newer] Relative deflections can be shown for bars (having a cross-sections) or cut lines: Select one (or more collineair) bars\/ cutlines and click on .
