  1. Close all Buildsoft-software (or any other non-BuildSoft-software that requires Codemeter).<\/li>\n
  2. Open Task Manager (CTRL<\/kbd> + ALT<\/kbd> + DEL<\/kbd> or right mouse click on the Windows bar).<\/li>\n
  3. Go to the tab page Details.
    \n<\/em>Sort the list alphabetically by clicking on the column header \u00abName<\/em>\u00ab.\"\"<\/li>\n
  4. Find BuildSoft.Gateway.exe<\/em> in the list. If you cannot find it, skip this step.
    \nSelect it and hit End Task.<\/em>
    \nBuildSoft.Gateway.exe<\/em> will disappear from the list.

  5. Find BuildSoft.Gateway.Server.exe<\/em> in the list. If you cannot find it, skip this step.
    \nSelect it and hit End Task.<\/em>
    \nBuildSoft.Gateway.Server.exe<\/em> will disappear from the list.

  6. Find BuildSoftServer.exe<\/em> in the list. If you cannot find it, skip this step.
    \nSelect it and hit End Task.<\/em>
    \nBuildSoftServer.exe<\/em> will disappear from the list.<\/li>\n
  7. Uninstall Codemeter Control Center ( Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > Uninstall a program)<\/em><\/li>\n
  8. Reinstall Codemeter Control Center.
    \nYou can download the most recent version of the *.exe here<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  9. Open Task Manager<\/em> ( CTRL<\/kbd> + ALT<\/kbd> + DEL<\/kbd>).
    \nGo to the tab page Services<\/em>.
    \nFind the Gateway<\/em> and Gateway Server<\/em> in the list and hit Start<\/em>.
    \nIf Gateway<\/em> has \u00abStopped\u00bb as status again, try to start it again. It has the tendancy not to start from the first time.

  10. Both Gateway<\/em> and Gateway Server<\/em> should be started now.
