  1. Close all Diamonds\/PowerConnect projects.<\/li>\n
  2. Open Task Manager > tab page \u2018Services\u2019 > Click on \u2018Open Services\u2019.<\/li>\n
  3. Find the service ‘Gateway’ > right mouse button > \u2018Stop\u2019.<\/li>\n
  4. Find the service ‘Gateway Server’ > right mouse button > \u2018Stop\u2019.  \t\t

    When you try to stop the service, you get the error:
    \nWindows could not stop the Gateway Server service on Local Computer. Error 1061: The service cannot accept control messages at this time.<\/em>

    Solution<\/h3>\n

    In the Taskmanager, go to the ‘Details’ tab and stop the processes ‘BuildSoft.Gateway.exe’ and ‘BuildSoft.Gateway.Server.exe’.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t<\/li>\n

  5. Go to C:\\Windows\\System32\\config\\systemprofile\\AppData\\Local\\BuildSoft\\.<\/li>\n
  6. Delete the folders ‘BuildSoft.Gateway.Server_[…]’ and ‘BuildSoft.Gateway.exe_[…]’.
    \nThese folders contain the user preferences for the Gateway and Gateway Server. By deleting them, you set the preferences back to default. If you can ‘t find the folder, skip this step.

  7. Go to C:\\Program Files (x86)\\BuildSoft\\Gateway\\Gateway\\ and double click ‘BuildSoft.Gateway.exe’. A black screen will open.

  8. Go to C:\\Program Files (x86)\\BuildSoft\\Gateway\\Gateway Server\\ and double click ‘BuildSoft.Gateway.Server.exe’.  A black screen will open.
