Remember the number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to the <strong>Geometry Configuration<\/strong> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" class=\"wp-image-18759\" style=\"width: 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/KnopConfiguratieGeometrie.png\" alt=\"\">.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select nothing and open the <strong>Data table<\/strong> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"19\" height=\"19\" class=\"wp-image-10062\" style=\"width: 19px;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/KnopDataTabel.png\" alt=\"\">.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to the tab page \u00abBars\u00bb.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll through the list until you reach the relevant bar, in this example: 348.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You&#8217;ll see that the bar has a zero length.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/ErrorZeroLength2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"786\" height=\"301\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/ErrorZeroLength2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31879\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Remember the start and end node of the bar. In this example numbers 238 and 30.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/ErrorZeroLength3.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"786\" height=\"301\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/ErrorZeroLength3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31880\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Close the <strong>Data table.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to the menu <strong>Select > Points Numbers&#8230;. <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter on of the numbers, for example 238. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/ErrorZeroLength4.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"213\" height=\"128\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/ErrorZeroLength4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31882\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Hit <strong>OK <\/strong>to perform the search. Hit <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"27\" height=\"24\" class=\"wp-image-1601\" style=\"width: 27px;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/KnopShowSelectionOnly.png\" alt=\"\"> immediately after that to isolate the point. <br>This will make it easier for you to locate the point in the structure.<br>If you can&#8217;t retrieve the point, repeat the steps with the other point number. \u00ab30\u00bb in this example.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/knowledge-base\/how-does-the-projection-function-work\/\" data-type=\"ht_kb\" data-id=\"1215\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Projection function<\/a><\/strong> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"38\" height=\"35\" class=\"wp-image-1590\" style=\"width: 38px;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/KnopProjectie.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/KnopProjectie.png 38w, https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/KnopProjectie-35x32.png 35w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 38px) 100vw, 38px\" \/> in the X and Z direction on that point.
