Note: avoid corrupt installations of Gateway by uninstalling the current Gateway, before installing a new version of Diamonds\/ PowerConnect\/ BIM Expert.<\/p>\n
Solution 1 (recommended)<\/h2>\n
Whenever this issue occurs, most clients have one corrupt Gateway version (the old version) and one that seems to work fine ( the newer version). This workflow removes the corrupt Gateway version. Hoping that after deleting the corrupt registry keys, the issue is fixed without having to reinstall Gateway.<\/p>\n
1. Determine the corrupt version of Gateway<\/h4>\n\n- In Control Panel<\/em> > Programs and features<\/em> > Remove a program<\/em>, you see multiple treads of Gateway.
\nRemember the version of the corrupt Gateway.
\nThe Gateway proceeded by the red logo, is the correct one. Normally, this one will have the highest version number. So in this example, Gateway 2.05.0000 is the corrupt one.
\n<\/li>\n- Look-up the corresponding ProductIdGUID and RandomGUID (see overview at the end of this article)
\nFor Gateway 2.05.0000 the ProductIdGUID is\u00a0{1F528EEC-620E-461E-87DF-3E54CCE2090E} <\/em>and the RandomGUID =CEE825F1E026E16478FDE345CC2E90E0.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n2. Stop services<\/h4>\n\n- Go to Task Manager tab ‘Services’<\/li>\n

This workflow will remove Gateway completely (even a version that might work well). It will also clean-up any leftover files related to Gateway. Usually this method is a bit overkill and Option 2 is sufficient to fix the issue.
\nReinstalling Gateway will definitely be needed after this workflow.<\/p>\n

Solution 2<\/h2>\n
This workflow will remove Gateway completely (even a version that might work well). It will also clean-up any leftover files related to Gateway. Usually this method is a bit overkill and Option 2 is sufficient to fix the issue.
\nReinstalling Gateway will definitely be needed after this workflow.<\/p>\n<\/span>Open workflow<\/div>\n1. Stop services<\/h4>\n

- Go to Task Manager tab ‘Services’<\/li>\n
- Stop the Gateway<\/em> and GatewayServer<\/em> service<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
2. Delete services<\/h4>\n

- Run cmd.exe<\/em> as admin<\/li>\n
- Type following text and hit ENTER<\/kbd>.\n
sc delete Gateway<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
- Type following text and hit ENTER<\/kbd>.\n

3. Remove the installed files from the disk<\/h4>\n
