Activate the grid definition with <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"26\" height=\"24\" class=\"wp-image-3065\" style=\"width: 26px;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/ButtonGrid.jpg\" alt=\"\"> and then set the resolution of the grid to 50 cm in both directions.<br>Select the icon field <code>geometry<\/code> within the palette. In this field, only three functions are actually available. All other functions are dimmed and will only be useful after a selection was done in the window.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-66.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-66.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18067\" width=\"291\" height=\"196\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Click on the icon <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"31\" height=\"31\" class=\"wp-image-17779\" style=\"width: 33px;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Tekenenwissenvanlijnenb1.png\" alt=\"\"> , after which you can draw the axes of the continuous beam directly on the screen. Click the left mouse button on a point of the grid where you want to start drawing. Then drag the mouse to the right (while holding the left mouse button pressed). As you move the mouse over the window, you\u2019ll the length of the drawn line on the bottom of the window. Move the mouse to the point where dx = dy = 400 cm and 0 cm. Then release the left mouse button.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-65.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1071\" height=\"724\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-65.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18066\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">So, you now draw the first field of your continuous beam. Draw the next field by moving the mouse to the right end of the drawn line. The moment you see a small red circle appearing, press the left mouse button again and then move the mouse to the right again. Ensure that dx = dy = 150 cm and 0 cm. Then release the left mouse button and click on the icon <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"37\" height=\"38\" class=\"wp-image-17773\" style=\"width: 22px;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-29.png\" alt=\"\"> to turn the drawing function off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">To optimally visualize the drawn axes, use the icon <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"23\" height=\"23\" class=\"wp-image-4835\" style=\"width: 23px;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/KnopZoomAll.png\" alt=\"\"> of the toolbar.
