You can also choose a specified width and height at any time during the dimensioning process. Whichever strategy you choose, 1\u20222\u2022Build will always calculate the required reinforcement sections for you and, of course, allow you to report those calculated sections:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"31\" height=\"31\" class=\"wp-image-17897\" style=\"width: 33px;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Wapeningsberekeningb1.png\" alt=\"\"> shows the calculated sections for the bottom and top reinforcement; reinforcement sections are always drawn on the side of the section where they are to be applied;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"31\" height=\"31\" class=\"wp-image-17898\" style=\"width: 33px;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Wapeningsberekeningb2.png\" alt=\"\"> shows the results of the reinforcement parallel to the weak axis (the web reinforcement);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"31\" height=\"31\" class=\"wp-image-17899\" style=\"width: 33px;\" src=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Wapeningsberekeningb3.png\" alt=\"\"> shows the calculated sections for the transverse reinforcement; this transverse reinforcement provides resistance to the transverse force V<sub>z<\/sub>. More specifically, this concerns the section of the vertical legs of the stirrups per unit length of the beam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">When one of the above reinforcement results is displayed in the model window, you can double-click on a bar. A dialogue box will appear in which you can calculate or manually change the buckling length. However, keep in mind that 1\u20222\u2022Build automatically calculates the buckling lengths of all bars in a safe manner during the dimensioning process. If you manually adjust the buckling lengths for heavily compressed bars, keep in mind that a smaller buckling length may result in smaller reinforcement sections.
