Creating a new project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To create a new project, select the menu command ‘File > New<\/em> ‘ or click on the icon \"\". If you want to create a new project while you already have a project open, it is of course recommended that you first save the results of your work in the open project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saving projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To save projects, select the menu command ‘File > Save<\/em>‘ or click on the button \"\" . You can also use the menu command ‘File > Save as<\/em>‘. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1\u20222\u2022Build projects are always saved with the extension *.12b<\/strong>. The difference between ‘Save<\/em>‘ and ‘Save as…<\/em>‘ is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • if you have already saved the project, you can use the Save<\/code> command to save the project again under the same name. The extension *.12b<\/strong> of the previously saved version will be changed to *.12<\/strong>!.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • if you want to save the project under a new name, select the command ‘Save as…<\/em>‘.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    1\u20222\u2022Build allows you to choose whether to save projects with or without the results. You can set this via the menu command ‘Modify > General settings<\/em>‘. In the dialogue box, under Results<\/code>, tick or untick the Save results<\/code> option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the Save dialogue box at the bottom, you can also use a pull-down menu to specify whether you want to save the results or not. If you click on the arrow next to the button \"\" at the top of the icon bar, you can also set here whether the results are saved or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Opening projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    In addition to the \u201cnormal\u201d 1\u20222\u2022Build files (with the extension \u201c.12b\u201d), 1\u20222\u2022Build can also open the backup files (with the extension \u201c.12!\u201d). To do this, select the menu command ‘Archive > Open..<\/em>.’ or click on \"\".
