    You need administrator rights to perform the steps below.

    1. Close all Diamonds/ PowerConnect/ BIM Expert projects.
    2. Open Task Manager (CTRL +  ALT +  DEL or right mouse click on the Windows bar).
    3. Go to the tab page “Details”.
      Sort the list alphabetically by clicking on the column header “Name“.
    4. Find BuildSoft.Gateway.exe in the list. If you cannot find it, skip this step.
      Select it and hit End Task.
      BuildSoft.Gateway.exe will disappear from the list.
    5. Find BuildSoft.Gateway.Server.exe in the list. If you cannot find it, skip this step.
      Select it and hit End Task.
      BuildSoft.Gateway.Server.exe will disappear from the list.
    6. Find BuildSoftServer.exe in the list. If you cannot find it, skip this step.
      Select it and hit End Task.
      BuildSoftServer.exe will disappear from the list.
    7. Open Windows Explorer. Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\BuildSoft
      Select the entire content of the folder, and hit DEL.

      By deleting the content of this folder, you’re deleting user-defined materials/ cross-sections from the library. You’re setting the libraries back to factory settings.
      If you used user-defined materials/ cross-sections for certain project, you’ll still be able to open/ use that project. The deletion only applies to what was stored in the library.

    8. Open Task Manager ( CTRL +  ALT +  DEL).
      Go to the tab page Services.
      Find the Gateway and Gateway Server in the list and hit “Start“.
      If Gateway has “Stopped” as status again, try to start it again. It has the tendancy not to start from the first time.
    9. Both Gateway and Gateway Server should be started now.
      Start Diamonds/ PowerConnect or BIM Expert.

    7. Open Windows Verkenner. Ga naar de map C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\BuildSoft
      Selecteer de inhoud van die map en druk op DEL.

      Door de inhoud van deze map te verwijderen, verwijdert je door de user-defined materialen/ doorsneden uit de bibliotheek. Je zet de bibliotheken terug naar de fabrieksinstellingen.
      Als je ooit user-defined materialen/doorsneden gebruikt hebt in een project, kan je dat project nog steeds openen/ gebruiken. De verwijdering heeft enkel betrekking op wat in de bibliotheek werd opgeslagen.

    8. Open het Taakbeheer ( CTRL +  ALT +  DEL ).
      Ga naar het tabblad Services.
      Zoek Gateway & Gateway Server in de lijst en klik op “Starten”.
      Als Gateway terug als status “Gestopt” krijgt, dan start je hem nog eens. Hij heeft de neiging om niet van de eerste keer te willen starten.
    9. Zowel Gateway als Gateway Server moeten nu gestart zijn.
      Start Diamonds / PowerConnect of BIM Expert.

    Vous avez besoin de privilèges d’administrateur pour effectuer les étapes ci-dessous.

    1. Fermer tous les projets de Diamonds/ PowerConnect/ BIM Expert
    2. Ouvrez le Gestionnaire des tâches ( CTRL +  ALT +  DEL ou cliquez avec le bouton droit de la souris sur la barre Windows).
    3. Allez vers l’onglet Détails.
      Triez la liste par ordre alphabétique en cliquant sur l’en-tête de colonne « Nom ».
    4. Cherchez BuildSoft.Gateway.exe dans la liste. Si vous ne le trouvez pas, passez cette étape.
      Sélectionnez-le et appuyez sur “Fin de tâche”.
      BuildSoft.Gateway.exe disparaît de la liste.
    5. Cherchez BuildSoft.Gateway.Server.exe dans la liste. Si vous ne le trouvez pas, passez cette étape.
      Sélectionnez-le et appuyez sur “Fin de tâche”.
      BuildSoft.Gateway.Server.exe disparaît de la liste.
    6. Cherchez BuildSoftserver.exe dans la liste. Si vous ne le trouvez pas, passez cette étape.
      Sélectionnez-le et appuyez sur “Fin de tâche”.
      BuildSoftserver.exe disparaît de la liste.
    7. Accédez au dossier C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\BuildSoft.
      Sélectionnez le contenu du dossier et appuyez sur SUPPR.

      En supprimant le contenu de ce dossier, vous supprimez les matériaux/ sections définis par l’utilisateur de la bibliothèque. Vous rétablissez les paramètres par défaut des bibliothèques.
      Si vous avez utilisé des matériaux/coupes transversales définis par l’utilisateur pour certains projets, vous pourrez toujours utiliser ces projets. Seuls les matériaux/coupes transversales définis par l’utilisateur et stockés dans la bibliothèque seront supprimés.

    8. Ouvrez le Gestionnaire de tâches ( CTRL +  ALT +  DEL).
      Allez vers l’onglet “Services”.
      Recherchez Gateway et Gateway Server et cliquez sur “Démarrer”.
      Si Gateway affiche à nouveau le statut « Arrêté », essayez de le redémarrer. Il a tendance à ne pas démarrer du premier coup.
    9. Gateway et Gateway Server doivent être démarrés maintenant.
      Démarrez Diamonds/PowerConnect ou BIM Expert.

    At the first startup of 12-Build, 12-Build takes the default values (stored in the Program Files). When you work with 12-Build, you will customize these settings along the way.

    Workflow to reset the preferences

    1. Close all 1·2·Build projects.
    2. Go to C:\Users\**YourUsername**\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\1 2 Build. 
      The folder “AppData” is a hidden folder. IYou can show the hidden folders using the menu “View > View > Show hidden items”.
      If you see the folder “AppData” now, skip step 3 and go to step 4.
      If you still don’t see the folder “AppData” now, go to step 3.
    3. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\12Build
      Sort the content of this folder by date.
      The preferences are stored in the same folder as the installation files. You can detect the preference files by sorting the folder by date. The preferences always have a more recent date. While the installation files have older dates. This 1·2·Build is from 2021. Anything more recent than 2021 is a preference file, thus all files above the line are preference files.
      Select all preference files and delete them. Then, skip step 4 and go to step 5.

    4. Delete the content of this folder.
    5. Restart 12-Build.
      If do did the procedure correctly, 12-Build will ask you the language.

    At the first startup of ConCrete, ConCrete takes the default values (stored in the Program Files). When you work with ConCrete, you will customize these settings along the way.

    Solution 1

    • Close all ConCrete and ConCrete Plus projects.
      Even if you get an error on launching ConCrete (Plus), use the Taskmanager to close ConCrete (Plus).
      Don’t skip this step!
    • Go to C:\Users\**YourUsername**\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\ConCrete
      The folder ‘AppData’ is a hidden folder. You can show the hidden folders using the folder options.
      If the folder is empty or doesn’t exist, go to Solution 2.
    • Delete the content of this folder.
      Warning: if you want to keep the defined hollow core slabs (HCS), copy the file CONCRETE_7.PRF to your desktop before deleting. Read about Restoring the HCS library after resetting the ConCrete preferences
    • Restart ConCrete.

    Solution 2

    In some cases, the preferences are not stored in the folder C:\Users\**YourUsername**\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\ConCrete, but in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\ConCrete\.

    • Close all ConCrete and ConCrete Plus projects.
      Even if you get an error on launching ConCrete (Plus), use the Taskmanager to close ConCrete (Plus).
      Don’t skip this step!
    • Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\BuildSoft\ConCrete\
    • Sort the content of this folder by date.
      The preferences usually have the same date and a more recent date than the rest of the files in that folder.
      Depening on which features of ConCrete (Plus) you’ve used, you’ll obtain more/less preferences. The name of the preference-files is the same as in the printscreen at Solution 1.
    • Select the preferences and hit delete.

    At the first startup of Diamonds, Diamonds takes the default values (stored in the Program Files). When you work with Diamonds, you will customize these settings along the way. These changes are stored in a set of files in the folder ‘Diamonds’ in ‘My Documents’. Each version gets its folder. 

    The content of this directory is as follows:

    At every start and shut off of Diamonds these files are called / completed. However, sometimes something goes wrong in these files causing Diamonds not to work properly.

    • Sluit alle Diamonds projecten
    • Ga naar Mijn Documenten > Diamonds. Afhankelijk van uw besturingssysteem kan de naam ‘Mijn documenten’ ‘Documenten’ zijn.
    • Verander de naam van de map ‘Diamonds’ in iets anders, bijvoorbeeld ‘Diamonds2’.
    • Start Diamonds opnieuw op. Hij moet je de taal vragen. Doet hij dit niet, probeer de oplossing in deze link.
    • Je mag de map ‘Diamonds2’ verwijderen, maar hou er rekening mee dat deze ook back-up bestanden bevat (zie Solution 3 in deze link). We raden je aan om de map nog een paar maanden te bewaren en later te verwijderen.

    Over de voorkeuren

    ‘Voorkeuren’ zijn instellingen die afhankelijk zijn van de gebruiker. De gebruiker kan kiezen wat het beste bij hem/haar past, bijvoorbeeld:

    • Instellingen met betrekking tot de configuraties zoals de achtergrond kleur, kleur van belastingen, of de ondersteuningen wel/niet moeten getoond worden, …
    • Eenheden en decimalen
    • De taal
    • …

    Als je Diamonds de eerste keer opstart, neemt Diamonds de standaardwaarden (opgeslagen in de Program Files). Wanneer je met Diamonds werkt, zal je deze instellingen gaandeweg aanpassen. Deze wijzigingen worden opgeslagen in een set bestanden in de map ‘Diamonds’ in ‘Mijn documenten’. Elke Diamonds versie krijgt een map. 

    De inhoud van deze directory is als volgt:

    Bij elke start en uitschakeling van Diamonds worden deze bestanden benoemd/aangevuld. Soms gaat er echter iets mis in de bestanden waardoor Diamonds niet goed werkt.

    • Fermer tous les projets Diamonds.
    • Accédez à Mes Documents > Diamonds. Selon votre système d’exploitation, le nom ‘Mes documents’ peut être ‘Documents’.
    • Renommez le dossier Diamonds en quelque chose d’autre, par example Diamonds2.
    • Redémarrez Diamonds. Il doit vous demander la langue. S’il ne le fait pas essayez la solution dans ce lien.
    • Vous pouvez supprimer le dossier Diamonds2 de votre ordinateur mais gardez à l’esprit qu’il contient également des fichiers de sauvegarde (voir Solution 3 dans ce lien). Nous vous recommandons de conserver le dossier pendant quelques mois de plus et de le supprimer après.

    A propos des préférences

    Les ‘préférences‘ sont des paramètres qui dépendent de l’utilisateur. L’utilisateur peut choisir ce qui lui convient le mieux, par exemple :

    • Les paramètres de configuration réalisés tels que la couleur d’arrière-plan, la couleur de charge ponctuelle ou les supports à afficher…
    • Unités et décimales
    • La langue
    • ….

    Lorsque vous démarrez Diamonds pour la première fois, Diamonds prend les valeurs par défaut (stockées dans les ‘Program Files’). Lorsque vous travaillez avec Diamonds, vous ajustez ces paramètres au fur et à mesure. Ces modifications sont enregistrées dans un ensemble de fichiers dans le dossier ‘Diamonds’ dans ‘Mes Documents’. Chaque version obtient un dossier.

    Le contenue de ce répertoire est le suivant :

    A chaque démarrage et arrêt de Diamonds, ces fichiers sont nommés/complétés.
    Cependant, parfois, quelque chose ne va pas dans les fichiers qui empêche Diamonds de fonctionner correctement.
