Solution

This error occurs when the Codemeter server is down. Wait a few hours and try again later.

In the web page you do not get the standard options to activate your license.

Solution

1. Make sure you have installed the software ‘CodeMeter’ → typ ‘CodeMeter’ in the search box on your desktop.
   If not present, install CodeMeter from this link.
   Remark: if you work on MAC, also install CodeMeter for MAC.
   
2. Open a different browser (for example: if you had Chrome open, now use Opera or Firefox or Internet Explorer or Edge)
3. Take the ticket number from the link in the email (5 times 5 letter/numbers, separated by ‘-‘)

4. Go to http://lc.codemeter.com/48922/depot/index.php
5. Fill out (or paste) the ticket number in the Ticket box

1. Close the CodeMeter tab page with the error

If this does not work, please contact support@buildsoft.eu and request a new educational license.

• Install a newer version of Codemeter. Use the WeTransfer link in this article to download the most recent version of Codemeter.

Solution 2 (temporarily solution)

• Close all BuildSoft software.
• Open CodeMeter Control Center using Start > All Programs > CodeMeter.
• Select BuildSoft Edu 12 and click. An internet page opens.
  
• Click on the menu License Monitoring  and than on the 601 before BuildSoft Edu. You’ll that SYSTEM has claimed a license. Click on the Trash bin to remove it from the list.
  
• Now is should be possible to start ConCrete/ Diamonds/… all at the same time.

1. Open CodeMeter Control Center using Start > All Programs > CodeMeter.
   I cannot find the program CodeMeter Control Center on my computer

   Download CodeMeter Control Center and install it.

2. Select BuildSoft Edu 12 from the list. This type of license starts with “128-“.
   If you’re using a cloud license, you’ll see a license that starts with “140-“.
   Click . An internet page opens.
   Press here to reveal

   • either you requested the license, but you didn’t activate it.
     Check your mailbox for an email that has ‘Diamonds – PowerConnect – BIM Expert – ConCrete – 12Build’ in the subject.
     Don’t forget to check the spam folder and the folder with deleted e-mails.

     Pay attention to the date of the email! If you want to activate the license for academic year 202x-202y, you need the email sent between 1/9/202x and 30/8/202y.
     Follow the instructions in the e-mail to activate the license. 

   • either you didn’t request an educational license.
     You can request an education license through our website. It can take 2 workdays for us to process your request!

   

3. The column Valid until should contain a date in the future.
   • If the date is in the future and it is written in black: the license is valid.
   • If the date is in the future, but it is written in red: go to this article.
   • If the date is not in the future, it will be written in red: the license is not valid.

[Mac iOS]

Solution

• The e-mail you’ve received from us, contains a link.
• Copy-paste the link in Google Chrome or Firefox. Don’t use Internet Explorer!
• Try again to activate the license.

You will need a virtual Windows environment (using Parallels, VM-ware, …) in order to run the BuildSoft software.

[Do this in the MAC environment]

1. Install CodeMeter Control Center.
   Codemeter Control Center takes care of the license management.
2. Activate your educational license as explained in the email you have received from us.
   Yes, it means you’ll have to double click the link in the MAC environment. If the double clicking doesn’t work, copy-paste the link in Safari.
3. Open CodeMeter Control Center. Select your educational license from the list (the name is usually Buildsoft Edu 12) and click on the button ‘WebAdmin’.
   
   
4. A web page opens. Go to ‘Configuration’ > ‘Server’ > ‘Server Access’.
   
   
5. Select ‘Enable’ at ‘Run network server’ and click ‘Apply’.
   By checking this option, you tell the MAC environment the license may be shared with the Windows environment.
   
6. Restart your computer.

[Do this in the virtualised Windows environment]

1. Install CodeMeter Control Center.
2. Install the desired Buildsoft software.
3. Restart the Virtual machine.
4. Start the Buildsoft software. Our software should start with a valid license.
   Note: althought the license activated in the MAC environment is shared with the Windows environment, you’ll never see the license appear in CodeMeter Control Center in the Windows environment. That is normal behaviour.
